Biogas to set up new plant in Tatabánya

Tatabánya-based Biogas-Energy Kft is poised to set up a biogas-powered cogeneration plant by the end of 2005 and plans to install another 20 units next year in a Ft 3 billion investment, business daily Világgazdaság reported. The plant will use 350-400 tons of agricultural and animal husbandry waste a day to generate 3 MW of electricity and 3.5 MW of heat. Supplies are expected to cover the energy needs of some 10,000 households.
