BA privatisation process to be revived by end-October

A new round in the privatisation for Budapest Airport will start at the end of October and should be concluded by year-end, national daily Népszabadság said on Tuesday. Courts last month ruled the tender process invalid. The new round will take the five bidders from the previous unsuccessful tender, according to press reports. These were Germany's Hochtief, Frankfurt Airport operator Fraport, Britain's BAA, Denmark's Copenhagen Airports and Australia's Macquarie Airports Holdings. The first round was declared invalid by primary and appeal courts because the company failed to consult workers properly.
