Autumn Festival to focus on contemporary art

The 13th Budapest Autumn Festival offering contemporary art and cultural programs at over thirty venues will begin on October 14, the organizers said yesterday. The ten-day traditional festival will feature theatre, music concerts and the fine arts that existed practically as an underground culture for fifteen years before the political changes in the late 1989, Budapest Mayor Gábor Demszky said. The programmes include indoor and open air performances with the participation of renowned artists from Belgium, Estonia, Germany, Great Britain, Poland and Switzerland in theatres, art centres, music halls, as well as film and fashion shows and exhibitions across the city.
