The State Privatisation and Holding Company (ÁPV) announced it decided on Thursday to raise capital at state-owned long-distance bus company Volán by Ft 10 billion. The cash injection, earlier approved by the government, will be disbursed among Volán's 23 regional companies and used to buy new buses as part of Volán's ongoing programme to improve its fleet. ÁPV will take into consideration when dividing the money among Volán's units the average age of their buses, the condition and size of their bus fleet and their financial standing. The companies have a combined fleet of 6,990 buses, with an average age of about 12 years.
