Alföld Tej at the helm of Parmalat

Dairy foods processing company Alföld Tej Kft will take over the control of Parmalat Hungária Rt's Székesfehérvár plant as of November 1, ending Parmalat's liquidation proceedings, Napi Gazdaság reported. Alföld Tej CEO Tibor Mélykúti said that talks will commence with the Italian owners of the Parmalat brand before mid November, to ascertain the conditions for the use of their brand name in the future and to discuss the possibilities to continue raw and skimmed milk exports to Italy. Alföld Tej plans to produce 400 million liters of milk next year at the newly acquired plant.
