Airport workers confirm new tender

The employees of Ferihegy Airport operator Budapest Airport Rt have received the State Privatization and Holding Company's (ÁPV) plans to call a new tender for their employer and will soon start negotiations, Zoltán Kovacs, the head of Budapest Airport's Workers' Council, which represents all of the company's employees, said yesterday. Kovács said both the council and ÁPV suggested starting the negotiations with each other. He added that the council has 15 days to respond to ÁPV. When asked to comment on the council's receipt of the plan, ÁPV spokesman Péter Oravecz said that the new tender could be announced in October. (Econews; Nv 5)
