Hungary pledges $30 mln for Vietnam environment, water projects
Hungary would provide Vietnam $30 million for environmental protection and water supply projects, the country’s ambassador in Hanoi, Vizi László, said Tuesday.
Speaking at a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City to mark Hungary’s Independence Day (August 20), he said Hungary would also continue to assist Vietnam in science, education, and agriculture. His government would offer 100 to 120 scholarships a year for Vietnamese students, he said. But he said trade between the two countries, at $57 million last year, remained modest. Hungarian businesses were seeking opportunities to invest in the securities and real estate markets in Vietnam, he revealed. (thanhniennews.com)
