Budapest to host first Petőfi Music Awards

Hungarian Petőfi radio will host the first Petőfi Music Awards ceremony this year on the opening day of Magyar Telekom’s VOLT Festival, according to a press release issued today.

The awards are intended to honor the best artists on the Hungarian pop music scene, the press statement said. 

Hungarian state-owned Petőfi Rádió was launched in 2007 as part of Magyar Rádió, Hungaryʼs national radio station, which broadcasts news, political, cultural and entertainment programs across Hungary.
