Hungary calls another tender for feed-in tariffs
The Hungarian Energy and Public Utilities Regulatory Office (MEKH) on Friday announced its third tender for feed-in tariffs for energy generated from renewable resources, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
Offers will be accepted in the METÁR feed-in tariff framework from July 1 until July 30, 2021.
The feed-in tariffs are available in two categories: for plants with capacity under 1MW with distributed capacity up to 50GWh a year, and for plants with capacity up to 20MW with distributed capacity up to 250GWh per year.
MEKH chairman Péter Horváth said an annual HUF 450 million of support for the generation of up to 300 GWh of electricity is available in the third METÁR tender.
He added that support awarded in the first two tenders resulted in an annual 536 GWh of electricity generation using renewable resources, enough to power 250,000 homes a year.
