National Bank of Hungary to open office in New York

The National Bank of Hungary (MNB) announced on Thursday it will open an office in New York from September 1, according to state news wire MTI.
The office will give the central bank a “direct connection with one of the worldʼs centers of finance and innovation,” the MNB said.
A number of other European central banks have offices in New York, and these offices are important partners for the MNBʼs network of connections, it added.
The MNB has opened offices in Hamburg, Paris and Rome in recent years. The analytical work undertaken and partnerships shaped in these offices have been of great added value to the central bankʼs activities, the MNB claimed.
