KSH: PPI in Hungary falls 1.5% in September y-o-y
Industrial producer prices were down 1.5% in September as compared to the same month a year earlier, according to data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) today.
Domestic prices dropped 3.7% while export prices edged down 0.2%. In a month-on-month comparison, industrial producer prices fell 0.5% while domestic prices edged down 0.2% and export prices inched down 0.6%.
Year-on-year, factory gate prices in the manufacturing sector were down 1.5% in September. Prices of the transport equipment segment remained unchanged, and prices in the computer, electronic and optical products segment increased 1.9%. Prices in the food, beverages and tobacco segment edged down 0.9%. Prices in the gas, electricity and steam supply segment were down 1.2%.
In a month-on-month comparison, producer prices in the manufacturing sector edged down 0.8%. Prices in the transport equipment segment were down 0.7%, and prices in the computer, electronic and optical products segment were down 0.7% as well. Prices in the food, beverages and tobacco segment edged up 0.3%. Prices in the gas, electricity and steam supply segment were up 0.9%.
In January-September, producer prices inched down 0.9% as domestic prices dropped 3.0% and export prices inched up 0.4%.
