350 new COVID-19 cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 78,625, with 350 new cases and 19 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll has increased to 29,728.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 804,382 up from 804,032 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 696,029.

Currently, 965 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 114 of whom are on ventilators.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 143,556. Pest County is the second most affected, with 111,448 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (46,261 cases).

So far 5,816,796 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 9,670 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine. 

According to the website, a total of 5,137,031 people have been vaccinated until today. The number of those who have received a second dose as well has increased to 3,582,547.
