The European Commission has disbursed an additional EUR 304 million to Hungary under its SURE program to mitigate the unemployment risks related to the coronavirus pandemic, the EC said yesterday, according to napi.hu.

The European Union's SURE program was set up in early 2020 to provide financial support in the form of long-term loans granted on favorable terms to member states to help preserve jobs in the context of the pandemic crisis.

With the amount disbursed yesterday and the EUR 200 mln disbursed in December, Hungary has received the total EUR 504 mln allocated to it under the program, the EC said.
