President Áder to visit U.S. for climate summit
Hungaryʼs President János Áder is set to visit the U.S. on September 12-15 to participate and make a speech at the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco, among other activities, according to a press release sent by the Office of the President of Hungary to the Budapest Business Journal.
Apart from his activity at the summit, President Áder will also visit the headquarters of non-profit research institute SRI International and X Developmentʼs Mountain View headquarters. He is also set to meet representatives of Hungarians in the San Francisco area.
The Global Climate Action Summit is set to host about 4,500 delegates from around the globe, including leading politicians, NGOs, and other notable people.
Stanford Research Institute (SRI) was involved in innovations such as Appleʼs Siri, along with significant developments in online banking and ultrasound examinations.
X Development (formerly Google X), is Googleʼs division for forward-looking technological innovations. The institution is home to several innovational projects, acting as a laboratory for inventors.
President Áder will be accompanied by his wife Anita Herczegh on the trip, the press release noted.
