Templeton Program launched for young Hungarians

The  Junior Templeton Fellow Network is looking for young Hungarians with exceptional cognitive talents to take part in the Hungarian Templeton Program, which is designed to support and encourage capable students, the organization says on its website. The one-year-long program is scheduled to begin on March 1, 2016.

The program is available for candidates aged 10-19 years old, and 200 of them will be selected for the Hungarian Templeton Program, to be joined by an additional 100 successful young people from the 20-29 age group selected through nomination. These 300 Junior Templeton Fellows will receive training and mentoring, as well as a number of other opportunities and types of assistance, from the most prominent and successful Hungarian scientists, business people and experts, who will help the young people develop their talents, the website says.

Advisory partners of the program, among many others, include The Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) and many other universities and firms.

The program’s sponsors include: AEGON Hungary General Insurance Co., GE Hungary, IBM Innovation Center Budapest, National Instruments Hungary, Hungarian Service Industry and Outsourcing Association, HOA, PREZI-House of Ideas and United Way Hungary.
