Survey: Hungarians spend 86 mins daily on Facebook

Hungarian Facebook users spend an average of 86 minutes a day on the social networking site, according to a survey by the Hungarian Content Providers Association (MTE) financed by the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH), Hungarian news agency MTI reported today.

Approximately 49% of respondents said they use the site for communication purposes, 43% for entertainment, while 40% use it to stay informed, according to the survey. Two-thirds of respondents noted that they enjoy the humorous content shared on Facebook.

According to the survey, women, people with a lower level of education and people under 30 use Facebook the most, MTI reported.

The survey involved the participation of 500 Facebook users between the ages of 18 and 49, MTI reported, adding that the sample was representative in terms of gender, age, place of residence and education.
