Wage Subsidies Applied for 1,300 Rural Jobseekers

Employers have so far applied for up to HUF 150,000 monthly wage subsidy for the placement of almost 1,300 rural jobseekers, the Ministry of Technology and Industry (TIM) announced yesterday, according to hrportal.hu.

The ministry said that the total amount of resources requested is close to HUF 1.1 billion, and more than HUF 300 million have already been awarded to employers.

Companies can apply for non-refundable wage subsidies for newly hired job seekers in the Enterprises regional workforce support program.

The option has been available in all rural regions of the country except Budapest and Pest County since August 15.
