Voluntary Pension Fund Contributions Flat in 2022

Voluntary pension fund contributions reached HUF 141 billion in 2022, unchanged from a year earlier, state news wire MTI reports, citing data released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) on Friday.

Member contributions increased by 3% to HUF 119 bln, while employer contributions rose 10% to HUF 38 bln.

There were 30 voluntary pension funds operating in Hungary at the end of 2022, three fewer than 12 months earlier.

The funds counted 1,092,204 members at the end of the year, 12,963 fewer than a year earlier.
