Voluntary Pension Fund Contributions Climb Nearly 7%

Voluntary pension fund contributions rose 6.6% year-on-year to HUF 106.4 billion in Q1-Q3, state news wire MTI writes, citing data released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB).

Member contributions increased 5.9% to HUF 83.1 bln. Contributions by employers climbed 14.9% to HUF 30.6 bln.

There were 29 voluntary pension funds operating in Hungary in Q3.

Membership numbers at the pension funds stood at 1,074,400 at the end of September, down 21,800 from 12 months earlier.
