Tax rebate for families with children nears HUF 650 bln

The total amount of personal income tax rebates Hungarians raising children are getting is nearing HUF 650 billion, Finance Minister Mihály Varga said in a post on Facebook on Sunday.

Hungarians raising children got HUF 610 bln of personal income tax rebates by February 14, Varga said.

Taxpayers availing of the tax rebate option through their annual tax declaration so far number 106,000 and are receiving HUF 33 bln, the minister said.
