SME support in rural areas raised to HUF 20 bln
Almost 800 small- and medium-sized enterprises in rural areas can hire a total of 5,600 workers thanks to SME capacity-building support, Secretary of State for Employment Policy Sándor Bodó of the Ministry for Innovation and Technology (ITM) said on Friday, according to profitline.hu.
He added that the budget, which was increased from the original HUF 15 billion to about HUF 20 bln, will help reduce the number of job seekers and stimulate the economy.
The government will take over part of the capacity expansion costs with non-refundable support to increase the number of employees.
SMEs from all regions and counties except Budapest and Pest County could apply for the program.
