Slovenia Annual Inflation Slows in April

Slovenia's consumer prices grew by 3.0% year-on-year in April, after rising by 3.6% in March, the Ljubljana-based Statistics Bureau of Slovenia (SURS) said on Thursday.

Prices increased for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 4.8% and prices for restaurants and hotels rose by 7.3%.

On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices rose by 1.0% in April, after edging up 0.2% in March.

Measured with the harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP), meant for EU comparison, the annual growth of consumer prices was 3.0% in April.
