Slovakia inflation rises in November

Slovakia's consumer price inflation rose to 5.6% in November from 5.1% increase in October, figures from the Slovak Statistical Office (SÚSR) showed on Tuesday.

Transport cost increased 14.4% yearly in November and those of restaurants and hotels increased 12.9%.

Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco, and communication rose by 7.7% and 6.4%, respectively. In addition, cost for food & non-alcoholic beverages added 4.5% and prices for recreation & culture went up by 5%.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.5% in November, after a 0.6% gain in the previous month.

The core inflation rose to 6% in November from 5.5% in October. On a month-on-month basis, the core CPI rose 0.6% in November, following a 0.2% increase in the prior month.
