Serbian average wage increases in March

Average gross salaries and wages in Serbia increased by 9.2% in nominal terms and by 7.3% in real terms in March from the same month last year, while average net salaries and wages increased by 9.4% in nominal terms and by 7.5% in real terms, figures released by the Central Statistics Office (SORS) showed on Tuesday.
Average gross salaries amounted RSD 89,894 (EUR 764.40) in March, while average net salaries and wages amounted to RSD 65,289 (EUR 555), the Belgrade-based statistics agency said.
Median net salaries and wages for March amounted to RSD 49,328 (EUR 419.50), meaning that 50% of employees realized wages and salaries up to the mentioned amount.
