Serbia real net wage up in May

Serbia's average net wage rose by a real 3.4% year-on-year to RSD 74,168 (EUR 631,90) in May, following a 2.6% annual increase the month before, the Belgrade-based Central Statistical Office (SORS) said on Monday.

Average gross salaries and wages calculated for May amounted to RSD 102,432 (EUR 872.70).

Compared with the same month last year, average gross salaries and wages for May 2022 increased by 14.2% in nominal terms and by 3.4% in real terms, while average net salaries and wages increased by 14.1% in nominal terms and by 3.4% in real terms.

Median net salaries and wages for May amounted to RSD 56,582 (EUR 482).
