Serbia's industrial producer prices on the domestic market rose by 5.5% year-on-year in March, after growing by an annual 9.4% in February, the Belgrade-based Central Statistical Office (RBS) said on Wednesday.

Cost slowed for manufacturing (5.7% vs 10.6% in February), primarily due to a fall in coke & refined petroleum products (-15.8% vs 10.3%) and chemicals & chemical products (-0.8% vs 7.6%).

It also declined further for mining & quarrying (-15% vs -10.9%).

On the other hand, producer inflation accelerated slightly for water supply (11.8% vs 10.5%) and electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply (6.7% vs 6.6%).

On a monthly comparison basis, the industrial producer price index (PPI) on the domestic market decreased by 0.2% in March, after increasing by 0.4% in February.
