Romania's real net wage rises in May
Romania's average net monthly wage rose by a real 5.8% year-on-year in May, after rising by 8.4% in April, the Bucharest-based National Institute of Statistics (INS) said in its monthly report.
On a monthly comparison basis, the real net wage was 2.4% lower in May.
In nominal terms, the average net monthly wage rose 9.8% on the year and fell 1.9% on the month in May, to RON 3,490 (EUR 708).
The highest net average wage of RON 8,192 (EUR 1,663) was registered in computer programming, consultancy, and related activities, while the lowest, of RON 1,850 (EUR 375), was recorded in the hospitality sector.
