Romania's real net wage rises in December

Romania's average net monthly wage rose by a real 6.2% year-on-year in December, after rising by 5.1% in November, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) said on Thursday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the real net wage was 5.7% higher in December. In nominal terms, the average net monthly wage increased by 8.4% on the year and rose 6.1% on the month in December, to RON 3,620 (EUR 743), according to the Bucharest-based statistics agency.
The highest net average wage of RON 8,350 (EUR 1,712) was registered in manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products, while the lowest, of RON 1,685 (345,60), was recorded in the hospitality sector.
