Romania's jobless rate stays flat in October

Romania's unemployment rate stood at 5.3% in October, unchanged from an upwardly revised figure a month earlier, with the number of unemployed edging up 2,000 to 438,000, the Bucharest-based National Institute of Statistics (INS) announced, citing provisional data.
On an annual comparison basis, Romania's jobless rate was 0.2 percentage points higher in October this year.
The jobless rate among women was 4.8% versus 5.7% among men.
The percentage of unemployed people aged between 25 and 74 in the total number of unemployed was 75% in October.
