Romanian Producer Price Inflation Accelerates in July

Romania's producer prices rose 52.27% year-on-year in July, following a 48.05% increase in June, data from the Bucharest-based National Institute of Statistics (INS) showed on Friday.
Prices in the domestic market increased 67.43% annually in July and those of the foreign market rose 25.87%.
Among the main industrial groups, prices for intermediate goods grew 28.10% yearly in July and those of energy surged 151.38%.
Prices for capital goods advanced 11.43%.
Prices for durable consumer goods and non-durable consumer goods rose by 18.88% and 17.12%, respectively. On a monthly comparison basis, producer prices increased 5.22% in July.
