Romanian Jobless Rate Unchanged in January

Romania's unemployment rate stood at 5.6% in January, at the same level as a month earlier, and 0.4% lower compared to the same month last year, National Institute of Statistics (INS) said on Thursday, citing provisional data.
Unemployed in January numbered 465,000, as compared to 461,900 in December and 495,600 in January 2022.
The jobless rate among women was 5.3% versus 5.8% among men in January.
A separate report from the Bucharest-based institute said, that the annual producer inflation in Romania eased to 24.02% in January, from 32.76% in the previous month. It was the lowest producer inflation since September 2021.
On a monthly comparison basis, producer prices advanced 1.44%, accelerating from a 0.24% gain a month earlier.
