Romanian jobless rate drops in November

Romania's unemployment rate fell to 5.1% in November, from 5.3% in the previous month, the Bucharest-based National Institute of Statistics (INS) said on Friday, citing provisional data.
On an annual comparison basis, the jobless rate was 0.9 percentage points higher in November. The number of unemployed people fell to 462,000 in November from 477,000 in October. Meanwhile, the jobless rate for both men (5.3% vs 5.5% in October) and women (4.8% vs 5.0%) declined. The unemployment rate among adults aged between 25 and 74 was estimated at 4.1%.
