Romanian construction output rises in January

Romania's construction output rose 9.4% year-on-year in January, following a 0.8% annual rise in December, the Bucharest-based National Institute of Statistics (INS) said on Monday, citing working-day adjusted data.

On a seasonally adjusted monthly comparison basis, construction production rose 8.3% in January, following a 0.3% drop in December.

According to the statistics agency, on an unadjusted basis, construction output plummeted by 62% month-on-month in January, but increased 12.9% year-on-year.
