Romania producer prices grow in December

Romania's producer prices rose for the first time in nine months in December, data from the Bucharest-based National Institute of Statistics (INS) showed on Tuesday.
The producer price index grew 0.27% year-on-year in December, after a 0.67% fall in November. Prices in the domestic market increased 0.69% yearly in December and non-domestic market decreased 0.47%.
Among the main industrial groups, prices for consumer goods gained 3.04% annually in December and those for capital goods grew 2.78%. Prices for durable goods and intermediate goods increased by 1.87% and 0.86%, respectively. Meanwhile, prices for energy declined by 5.47%. On a month-on-month basis, producer prices rose 1.25% in December.
