Romania inflation on the rise in June

Romania's consumer price inflation rose in June, data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS) showed on Tuesday. The consumer price index (CPI) rose 3.9% year-on-year in June, following a 3.8% increase in May.
Prices of non-food products grew 5.71% and those of food products rose by 2.17% in June. Services cost increased by 2.66%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.27% in June.
Another report from the Bucharest-based statistics institute showed that industrial production grew an annual 30.3% in May.
On month, industrial production declined a seasonally and working-day adjusted 8.5% in May. On an unadjusted basis, industrial production gained 28.9% from a year ago in May and increased 6% month-on-month.
