The total revenue of companies using the Magyar Termék [Hungarian Product] trademark system exceeded HUF 2.65 trillion last year, Eszter Benedek, the managing director of Magyar Termék Nonprofit Kft., said in Budaörs (10 km southwest of Budapest) last week, writes profitline.hu.
Benedek added that more than 230 manufacturers used the trademark on 5,000 goods last year.
Compared to the 2020 data, the number of trademark users had increased by nearly 30% by the end of 2022.
At the press conference held at the Auchan department store in Budaörs, Benedek also reported that the "Protect Your Homeland!" campaign, initially launched during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, has been very successful: 100 companies are now participating, several of which already use the Hungarian Product trademark.
