Producer inflation in Bulgaria continues to surge in May

Producer prices in Bulgaria surged by 13% year-on-year in May, following a 9.8% rise in the previous month, according to figures released by the Sofia-based National Statistical Institute (NSI).
This is the fifth consecutive month of rising producer prices, as costs advanced significantly for; mining & quarrying by 31.1%, manufacturing by 13.9% and electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply by 8.3%.
On a monthly basis, producer prices grew 1.9% compared to a 0.3% rise in the previous month.
