Polish December jobless rate at near 3-year high

Poland's unemployment rate rose to 6.2% in December of 2020 from 5.2% in the same month of 2019, data from the Warsaw-based Central Statistical Office (GUS) showed on Wednesday.
It was the highest jobless rate since April of 2018, as the number of unemployed increased by 179.600 to a near three-year high of 1.046 million. The figure was in line with an earlier estimate by the country's Labor Ministry.
