Prices slowed for food & non-alcoholic beverages (18.9% vs 19.7% in April); housing & utilities (16.1% vs 18.2%); recreation & culture (13.3% vs 14.9%) and clothing & footwear (7.4% vs 8.1%).

Costs also dropped for transport (-3.1% vs 4.6%). On the other hand, inflation accelerated mainly for alcoholic beverages & tobacco (12.5% vs 12.4%), health (10% vs 9.5%), and miscellaneous goods & services (13.8% vs 13.5%).

On a monthly basis, consumer prices showed no growth, following a 0.7% rise in April.
