Poland employment grows further, wage rises in June

Poland's corporate employment rose 2.8% year-on-year to 6.539 million people in June of 2021, following a 2.7% increase in the previous month, data from the Central Statistical Office (GUS) showed on Monday.
On a monthly basis, corporate employment edged up 0.3%. In a separate report, the Warsaw-based statistics agency said Poland's corporate sector wage rose by 9.8% year-on-year to PLN 5,802 (EUR 1261.6) per month in June after a 10.1% surge in the previous month, which was the fastest since October of 2008.
On a month-on-month basis, average paid employment rose 0.3% in June.
