More than 90% of Hungarians of active age regularly use the internet, a survey by the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) shows, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The rate of active internet users stands a little over 97% for the 15-50 age group.

The NMHH acknowledged that 15-year-olds are not yet adults, but noted that Hungarians are starting to go online at a younger age: the survey shows 9% of three-year-olds are already regular internet users.

Over the age of 80, the rate of Hungarians who don't use the internet reaches 90%.

The representative survey of 3,000 households was conducted in 2021.
