Online invoicing increases tax payments

The online invoicing system of the National Tax and Customs Board (NAV) and the Electronic Road Traffic Control System have helped to whiten the economy, according to the State Audit Office (ÁSZ), writes hrportal.hu.
During the audit, ÁSZ found that NAV had contributed to an increase in tax revenues between 2017 and 2020.
According to the report, the willingness to file and pay taxes has strengthened due to NAV's incentive instruments in its tax activities.
ÁSZ said the 18.1% increase in taxes received by the tax authorities was also due to the effective management of arrears, the introduction and application of digital tools, and the effectiveness of tax control, all measures to encourage taxpayers to meet their obligations and strengthen conscious taxation.
