ÖPOSZ voluntary pension fund member numbers close to 1.1 mln

Member numbers in pension funds of the National Association of Voluntary Funds (ÖPOSZ) approached 1,073,000 at the end of the first quarter, the association said on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Payments into the funds reached HUF 38.2 billion in Q1, 18% more than in the same period a year earlier. Members' contributions accounted for a little more than half of the total.

Member numbers in ÖPOSZ healthcare funds stood over 954,000 at the end of Q1. Payments into the funds increased 17% to HUF 11.2 bln.

Members' contributions made up 86% of the total.
