Number of jobseekers falls 8,300 in June

The number of registered jobseekers in Hungary reached 265,497 in June, 8,287 fewer than in the previous month, data released by the National Employment Service (NFSZ) show.
The number of registered jobseekers was 110,793 lower than in the same month a year earlier.
The data showed 3,349 Hungarians registered as jobseekers for the first time during the month. The total number of new jobseeker registrations, including repeat registrations, reached 27,748.
Around 47% of registered jobseekers received no jobseekers' allowance or social assistance in June.
About 35% had been seeking work for longer than a year.
The average period jobseekers were registered stood at 440 days.
