Number of Hungarians Working in Austria Rose in July
A total of 126,656 Hungarian citizens worked in Austria in July, according to employment data published by the Austrian social insurance company, writes business daily Világgazdaság.
Some 124,718 Hungarian workers were already registered on the Austrian market in June, which is almost the same as the population of a city the size of Győr (about 132,000 inhabitants).
This means that an additional 1,938 people took up work in Austria in one month.
The increase in the number of Hungarian employees is more than that of new immigrants from Asia (84,304 in June and 85,796 in July, an increase of 1,492 people) or Africa (18,686 in June and 19,184 in July, or an increase of 498 people).
