Nearly 40,000 new COVID cases registered over last 3 days

A total of 39,928 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary between January-21-23, bringing the total number of identified infections since the start of the epidemic to 1,441,385, according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.
Some 122 people died over the course of the last three days due to COVID-related causes, bringing the total number of deaths to 40,944.
The number of recovered persons has reached 1,209,129, and the number of active infections now stands at 191,312.
A total of 2,921 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, 176 of them are on ventilators.
The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,342,496, of whom 6,080,592 have already had their second vaccination and 3,554,502 have already had their booster jabs.
