N. Macedonia's annual inflation accelerates in September

North Macedonia's average annual consumer price inflation accelerated to 3.7% in September from 3.6% in August, the country's State Statistical Office (Makstat) said on Thursday.

Main upward pressure came from prices of transport (15.7%); restaurants & hotels (5.7%); and recreation & culture (3%).

Cost for food & non-alcoholic beverages rose by 3%, and prices for miscellaneous goods & services added 0.8%.

On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices edged down 0.1% in September, after growing by 0.6% in August.
