Montenegrin Avg Net Wage Edges up in August

Montenegro's average net monthly wage rose by a real 0.4% month-on-month in August, after falling by 0.7% in July, the Podgorica-based Statistical Office of Montenegro (Monstat) said in a statement on Thursday.

On an annual comparison basis, net earnings rose by 35% in August, after growing by 33.3% in July.

The average net wage amounted to EUR 718 in August, up from EUR 714 in July. Gross average wage totaled EUR 886 in August.

The country's government has increased the minimum wage to EUR 450 from EUR 250 as of January.
