It also marked the fourth consecutive month of deflation, as prices continued to decline for manufacturing (-11.2% vs -12.6% in June), particularly the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (-30%).

In addition, inflation slowed further for mining & quarrying (6.4% vs 7.1%), and electricity, gas, steam & air-conditioning supply (21.5% vs 30.7%).

On the other hand, prices accelerated for water supply, sewage, waste management & remediation activities (24.4% vs 23%).

Monthly, the producer price index (PPI) rose 0.2%, slightly up from a 0.1% growth in June.
