Lithuania producer price inflation accelerates in September

Lithuania's producer prices increased 15.1% year-on-year in September, following a 12.3% rise in August, figures from Statistics Lithuania (LS) showed on Monday.
Excluding refined petroleum products, producer prices grew 8.9% annually in September, following an 8.4% increase in the preceding month.
Producer prices for products sold on the Lithuanian market went up by 18% annually in September. Prices for products sold on the foreign market rose by 13% from a year ago. On a month-on-month basis, producer prices rise 1.5% in September, following a 0.8% gain in the prior month.
Another data from the Vilnius-based statistics agency showed that the EU measure of harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) rose 6.4% yearly in September, following a 5% increase in August. On a monthly basis, HICP rose 1.7% in September.
